Jocelynn Rudig
Dancer/Aerialist
Jocelynn Rudig came to San Francisco from the Rocky Mountains
of Colorado. She graduated from Colorado College with a degree in Biology
in 2000. She, then, promptly began her career as a professional dancer and
hasn’t looked back since. Although she still uses her Biology degree
in her studies of Herbal Medicine and to help her relate to the world around
her, Jocelynn will always love to dance. She has toured nationally and internationally
with Capacitor since 2001 where she can be seen dancing on the ground or up
in the air in a harness or on the tissue. She loves the challenge of Capacitor’s
work and is always pushed to learn new ways of moving through space. She has
also performed with Liss Fain Dance, North Coast Dance, and Kim Robard’s
Modern Dance. In addition to dancing, Jocelynn teaches Gyrokinesis and yoga,
works at a medicinal plant nursery, and tutors High School students. When
she is not busy rehearsing and performing, she escapes to her second home
on the Klamath River to enjoy the peace and quiet of the wilderness.
