Dave Eggers' feng shui; rallying behind Film Arts; Keanu sightings and more!

King St. Garage was thumping last Saturday night as scores of freshly scrubbed party people halfheartedly pulsed about the dance floor, eyes darting, awaiting Capacitor, an ensemble of dancers, aerialists and performance artists who have become hugely popular on the club scene. Awash in theatrical lighting, Capacitor performed in short intervals throughout the night from different spots in the room. Whether they were suspended above the crowd, showcasing more traditional modern dance choreography onstage or even breathing new life into that old standby fire-juggling, Capacitor transcended the huge dance club environment. They were able to make all of us mere mortals jostling for beer, waiting in long bathroom lines and counting designer purses a part of their spectacle. (Beth Lisick)
