Cross-Pollination Global Initiative

A Capacitor Project

A Global Vision
Capacitor is launching the Cross-Pollination Global Initiative: a plan to place ten monumental sculptures around the world. Each installation will be inaugurated with a live performance by a quintet of dancers, transforming the unveiling into a cultural event that unites movement, sculpture, and community.

The Meaning of Cross-Pollination
We are all cross-pollinations of multiple influences. Most innovations emerge when ideas move between worlds. In today’s fractured society, we need cross-pollination more than ever to meet our greatest challenges. Yet words too often divide.

Cross-Pollination offers a different entry point — a shared activity, a shared presence, a place to feel together before words are spoken. Each sculpture becomes a gathering site for creativity, wellness, and connection.

Why Capacitor
For over 25 years, Capacitor has pioneered collaborations between artists, scientists, and technologists, creating large-scale performances and motion sculptures that invite audiences into new ways of seeing and being together. The Cross-Pollination Global Initiative is the next evolution of this legacy.

We are looking for partners with:

  • Space to host a monumental sculpture.

  • Resources to support its creation, installation, and activation.

  • A vision for fostering connection and dialogue in their community.
